7/1/2025
Jefferson Memorial Hospital announces the installation of its new 64-Slice CT scanner, expanding advanced diagnostic imaging capabilities for patients in the community. To celebrate this significant investment in patient care, the hospital hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 30, marking another milestone in its ongoing commitment to providing healthcare close to home.
The new CT scanner features advanced imaging technology, including upgraded cardiac packages, brain perfusion capabilities, and hardware reduction software. These enhancements enable physicians to capture more detailed images, improve diagnostic accuracy, and deliver faster results that support better outcomes for patients.
Alongside the new CT installation, Jefferson Memorial Hospital also upgraded the surrounding workspace with new flooring and a refreshed, modern appearance designed to create a more welcoming and comfortable environment for patients and staff alike.
"This investment means our community has access to additional imaging services without having to travel far from home," said Shane Watson, CEO of Jefferson Memorial Hospital. "We are excited to continue advancing the level of care we can provide right here in Jefferson County."
