Certified family nurse practitioner is accepting new patients at Tennova Primary Care – Jefferson
KNOXVILLE, TN (March 4, 2020) – Tennova Healthcare recently welcomed Penny Welker, N.P., to Tennova Primary Care – Jefferson. She is accepting new patients at her office at 1004 North Highway 92, Suites B and C, Jefferson City. Same-day appointments are available. To schedule an appointment, call (865) 647-3400.
As a certified nurse practitioner, Welker specializes in caring for men, women and children of all ages. She offers well checks, sick visits, immunizations and women’s health screenings. She has a special interest in management of chronic conditions, such as diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol as well as weight management. Welker is also certified by the U.S. Department of Transportation and is qualified to perform physical exams and complete certificates for commercial drivers.
Welker has been serving patients and families in the East Tennessee region, including Jefferson and Hamblen counties, for more than 20 years. She began her healthcare career as a paramedic in the Lakeway area. Welker earned her master’s degree in nursing from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN; and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA.
